Any jar can fail with mistreatment, even Ball-Kerr. I have 8 dozen Golden Harvest jars and have used them for 5 years with no problem. I will get more if I can find them at a good price.
Frequent jar failures
I am an avid pressure canner, and keep track of my occasional jar failures. The only jar in the past 2 years that has has failed on me is Golden Harvest 1 quart. The bottom can shear off during the canning process. According to my Google search, GH is the low-cost jar manufactured by Ball and Kerr. You get what you pay for.
