It works as a normal curtain, but doesn't darken the room, or reduce any noise. It is thin enough to see through, and let more light in than the pair I was looking to replace. I would have to double them to get a light reduction.

The price was great for 4 curtain panels. They were thinner than some room darkening panels but they hung nicely. The length was good but they were not the usual width. It works probably take all four panels to look right on a bigger window. They are fine for smaller windows or where you don't want a fuller look.
I would recommend this product.
