Seth Marks

Seth Marks is Big Lots’ senior vice president of extreme value sourcing, responsible for leading our strategic sourcing efforts and working closely with the Merchandising Team to procure products that offer unbeatable value to our customers.

With nearly three decades of experience, Seth is well known in the closeout/off-price retail and liquidation industry as a merchant innovator who has engineered strategic merchandising transformations across world-class retailers, wholesalers, and liquidation firms. Before joining Big Lots, he worked at Channel Control Merchants, a leader in closeout and liquidation with retail stores in the U.S. and Canada, where he was the chief merchandising & partner care officer responsible for delivering a consistent supply of extreme value through closeout merchandise. Prior to his time at Channel Control Merchants, Seth was the CEO of Hilco Wholesale Solutions and chief merchant for Hilco Merchant Resources, the world's largest liquidation firm. He's also held leadership roles in merchandising at Liquidation World Canada, Sears Holding, Overstock.com, and Tuesday Morning Stores.

The only thing Seth loves more than deal-making is his family. They enjoy outdoor activities, especially hiking and skiing, and are active supporters of the LGBTQ+ community.
